Drain Problems

Ninety-five to 98% of all slow and stopped up drains are due to soap and grease. Grease solidifies around 55 degrees F. 

The drain lines underground are usually cooler, allowing grease and soap begin accumulating on the lines. Organic wastes or hair starts sticking to the grease and soap, and soon you have a slow drain. If this continues without maintenance the drain will soon stop up completely.

Dangerous Drain Openers

Many drain openers are dangerous because they often contain either Sulfuric Acid (very dangerous) or a sodium hydroxide base (dangerous.) The job of these chemicals is to get hot when they mix with water. They temporarily melt part of the grease or soap that has accumulated in your pipes and can possibly damage your drainage pipes. This is a temporary fix, and  the pipes may soon stop up again.

Bacteria/Enzyme Drain Opener

When you use our Bacteria-Enzyme action drain opener, it actually eats the grease and soap on the walls of the drain line. The bacteria continue to grow as long as any grease or food are in the drain system.

Directions For Using Super Digest-It

Stopped Up Drains

We have gone to great expense to make Super Digest-It heavier than water.  If the drain is totally stopped up, pour 8 ounces into the standing water.  It should open the drain within one hour.  After the drain is open, bacteria will continue to eat all of the grease and soap still in the drain lines.

Slow Drains

Run hot water down the drain 30 to 60 seconds, then pour 6 ounces of Super Digest-It after the water.  This is best done at bed-time.  Leave overnight.  If still slow, repeat the process.  Many people use disinfectant soaps, which remain in the lines. This causes the bacteria to work slower because the disinfectants or anti bacterial agents shock or kill the bacteria which cause them to work at a slower rate.

Drain Maintenance

Pour 2-4 ounces of Super Digest-It down each drain once a month.  Your lines will remain grease free and never stop up again.

Shocking or Killing The Bacteria

When you use bleach or other disinfectant cleaners, dyes or drain openers, they will shock (slow down) the bacteria or kill some or all of the bacteria.  When this happens, grease, paper and garbage flow into the field lines, causing the lines to plug up with grease and debris.  This will eventually cause the system to back up and need to be pumped out (Expensive.)

Quit Killing Bacteria

Stop putting bacteria killers down the drain.  Start adding 4 ounces of new bacteria down the drain once a month or 24 hours after each time you use Clorox or disinfectant cleaners.
